Activity & Encouragement Builds Self Esteem
The philosophy of Riverwood is to recognize the accomplishments and value of each resident.We approach our residents with, what can you do rather than what deficits do they have. We desire to encourage them to continue to be as Independent as they possibly can be.

 Our activity program encourages participation by having a wide variety of events to choose from. These events might be community-based or an outing to a show, musical, exercise, spiritual or even local sporting events.Our residents have endless opportunities to be active and healthy.

Short-Term Stays (Respite)
Occasionally, there comes a time when it may be difficult for you to provide the daily care your loved one requires. This happens during times of stress, financial difficulty, or when you must travel away from your home for needed vacations, attending a wedding or funeral and feel that your loved one cannot make the trip.
Riverwood helps you overcome these challenges with our Short-Term Stay Program. Out short-term stay residents receive all of the love,care, amenities, nursing assistance, activities and other services that our full-time residents receive!

Independent Living
This lifestyle is ideal for those who are still active and independent, but prefer to have someone cook & clean for them, maintain the home, and desire socialization and security.  We offer Independent residents three delicious meals each day, weekly housekeeping, linen laundry service, paid utilities (except telephone), activities, transportation (if needed) and much more!

Assisted Living
Riverwood's Assisted Living program offers the perfect combination:  a supportive environment that allows staff to keep a watchful eye when necessary and individual apartments to give residents the privacy and dignity they deserve.  An assisted living resident receives all the amenities and services listed above under Independent Living plus the added assistance of a senior adults who need help with the activities of daily living such as bathing, dressing, and supervision of medications, but do not need the skilled medical care provided by a nursing home.

Our Assisted Living cares also provide residents with needed social interaction that they may not receive living at home. Assisted Living has become the best choice for senior adults because it provides the right blend of services at a reasonable cost and offers residents the opportunity to live as independently as possible while receiving the needed care you simply cannot have at home.
